Understanding the Mind-Body Link

Biofeedback uses technology to help people consciously self-control body activities and symptoms which they may have thought were involuntary. Biofeedback is often used in our individualized and integrated healing approach.

The practice rests on the psychophysiological principle that mind and body are so delicately interwoven that any change in the bodily state will evoke a psychological change, and any change in the mind will evoke a physiological change. It can be used to learn to control body functions, such as heart rate.

Biofeedback clients are connected to sensors that help them receive information about their body. This feedback helps the client focus on making subtle changes in their body to achieve the desired results, such as stress reduction. When practiced, biofeedback gives participants the power to control their body and improve self-regulation.

Biofeedback is a noninvasive and medication-free way to take charge of your health.

Biofeedback is used to help manage many physical and mental health issues.
